Privacy Policy

The short version: Amplify collects nothing. Your audio never leaves your Mac.

Last Updated: July 4, 2026
App: Amplify
Developer: OceanWithin Studio, LLC

Amplify is a Mac app that boosts and shapes your system audio. It runs entirely on your Mac. We do not have servers that receive your data, because Amplify does not send any.

What We Collect

Nothing. Amplify has no account, no sign-in, no analytics, and makes no network connections. We can't see how you use it, and we don't want to.

Your Audio

Amplify processes your Mac's audio locally, in real time, to boost and equalize it. That audio is never recorded, stored, or transmitted. It goes from your apps, through Amplify, to your speakers or headphones — and nowhere else.

Microphone Permission

macOS asks you to allow "microphone" access the first time you turn Boost on. This is simply how macOS gates the ability to read audio. Amplify uses it only to process the sound your apps are already playing — it does not access your actual microphone and records nothing.

What We Don't Do

  • No accounts, no logins, no personal information
  • No analytics, telemetry, or crash tracking
  • No advertising and no third-party SDKs
  • No network connections of any kind

Children

Amplify is a utility with no data collection and is safe for all ages.
