Kazoo is made by OceanWithin Studio. By using it you agree to what follows. It is short on purpose.
What Kazoo Is
Kazoo lets you send short voice messages to people you have added, from your Apple Watch. You hold a button, talk, and let go. They hear it on their wrist.
What Kazoo Is Not
Kazoo is not an emergency service. Do not rely on it to reach anyone urgently. Messages depend on your watch, your network, Apple's notification service, and our servers, any of which can be unavailable. If someone needs help, call emergency services.
Kazoo is not guaranteed to be private from the person you send to. Anything you record can be replayed, kept, or repeated by the person who receives it. Treat it like speaking out loud.
Your Account
You need an Apple account to sign in. You are responsible for what is sent from your account, so keep your devices locked.
You must be old enough to agree to these terms where you live, or have a parent or guardian who agrees on your behalf. Parents are responsible for accounts they set up for their children.
Acceptable Use
Do not use Kazoo to harass, threaten, bully, or abuse anyone. Do not use it to send anything unlawful, or to record someone without their knowledge where that is illegal where you are.
Anyone can remove you as a friend at any time, which immediately stops you reaching them. You can do the same. We may suspend or remove accounts that are used to harm people.
If someone is using Kazoo to harass you, remove them as a friend and email us.
Your Content
Your voice clips remain yours. You give us only the permission needed to run the service: to store a clip, deliver it to the person you chose, and delete it afterwards. We do not use your recordings for anything else, and specifically not to train models.
Clips are deleted 24 hours after being heard unless you keep them. Do not treat Kazoo as an archive; it is not one, and we do not promise to retain anything.
Availability
Kazoo is offered as-is. We do not promise it will always work, that messages will always arrive, or that they will arrive quickly. We may change or discontinue features. If we shut the service down, we will give notice in the app first.
This is a small independent app, currently in beta. Expect it to be imperfect.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, OceanWithin Studio is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of Kazoo, including messages that were not delivered, were delivered late, or were heard by someone you did not intend.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, in which case they do not apply to you.
Ending It
You can stop using Kazoo at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may end your access if you break these terms.
Updates
If these terms change materially we will say so in the app before the change takes effect. Continued use means you accept the current version.
