No phone numbers, no strangers, no feeds: add someone once with a private six-character code, and from then on one tap reaches them. Talk live hands-free, or leave a voice message that plays out loud and tells you when it was heard. It works on the watch alone, on the iPhone alone, or both.

No Phone Number, Anywhere
No phone number, anywhere in the world.
Kazoo never asks for a phone number. Sign in with your Apple Account, share a six-character code, and you're connected, whether they're down the hall or on another continent. Calls and messages travel over the internet, so there are no long-distance or roaming charges: talking to Grandma in Costa Rica works exactly like talking to your kid in the next room.
Hands-Free Live
Tap Talk live. Then just talk.
Tap Talk live on a friend, from your watch or your iPhone. Their iPhone rings like a phone call, even locked with Kazoo closed; their watch gets an invite and they tap Join. Three beeps, and you're on. Now just talk. There's no button to hold: whoever starts speaking takes the turn, and the other person hears you the moment you begin. It's a radio, not a phone call, so nobody talks over anybody.
Watch to watch, iPhone to iPhone, or one of each. Have both? Both ring, and answering one stops the other. Live audio travels straight between the two of you and is never recorded.
Prefer a button? Switch off Hands-free and hold to talk, tap the call screen's mic, or use your iPhone's Action button.
Sounds
Know who it is before you look.
- Eight tunes. Give each friend their own short chirp, pitched to be easy to hear for older ears too. When Mom's tune plays, you know it's Mom.
- Name tags. Record a three-second "Hi, it's me!" in your own voice; friends can hear it before your messages.
- A knock. A soft knock sound and a tap on the wrist that says "thinking of you" without a word.
- Voice filters. Send your message as Kazoo 🎺, Chipmunk 🐿️, Deep 🐻 or Robot 🤖. The effect is added on your device before it's sent.
- Its own ring for live calls, and three rising beeps that say "you're connected, talk now".
Never Lost
Messages that wait for you.
Not free right now? Messages wait while you're unavailable, or while a Focus is on, and play in order when you're back. Your friends see why you're unavailable instead of guessing.
Kept
Keep the ones that matter.
Messages clean themselves up: gone 24 hours after they're heard. But some you'll want forever: a grandchild's first "I love you", a birthday song, your dad telling that story again. Press and hold any message and choose Keep. Kept messages never expire, and they live together in your Kept list.
You OK?
One tap asks. One tap answers.
Tap Ask "You OK?" on a friend or your family channel. They answer right from the notification: I'm OK 👍 or Call me 📞, and you see each answer come in. Friends in other time zones show their local time, like "🌙 2:14 AM", so nobody gets woken by accident. No location, no tracking.
Hands Full
Fast when your hands are full.
- Hands-free live calls: no button at all.
- iPhone Action button or Back Tap: press once to talk, again to send.
- Pinch to talk on Apple Watch Series 9, Ultra 2 and later: no touch at all.
- Siri: "Talk to Mom on Kazoo", "Knock Dad on Kazoo".
- A complication for one person on your watch face: one tap, you're talking.
- Quick Talk on the Ultra's Action button and in Control Center.
Channels
One message reaches everyone.
Family 🏠, Team ⚽️, Trip 🧳: one message reaches everyone in the group, up to 10 people. Each person gets their own receipt, so you see "Heard by 3 of 4".
Family Tools
Family tools, only if you want them.
Everyday Kazoo stays exactly the same. Parents can switch on Family tools on their iPhone to:
- Approve new friends for their kid, right from the notification.
- Set School and Sleep hours: messages wait until afterwards, and the kid can only message family. Parents can still get through.
- Write quick replies for their kid's watch, like "Pick me up please".

iPhone Duo · iPad
Fold it, and it's a walkie-talkie.
iPhone Duo, ready on day one. Half-open, Kazoo turns into a walkie-talkie: who you're talking to on one half, a giant Talk button on the other. Stand it on the kitchen counter and it's the family intercom. Fully open, your friends are on the left and the conversation on the right.
iPad, coming soon. Kazoo on the big screen: the family intercom for the kitchen, the grandparents' living room or the kids' playroom.

No iPhone? Join from anything with a browser.
Friends on Android, a Mac or a Windows PC open app.kazoowalkietalkie.com and sign in. No App Store needed. Add it to the home screen (or install it from Chrome) and it opens like an app, with its own icon, and notifications work best that way.
Same account, same friends: voice messages, knocks, quick replies, "You OK?", channels, voice filters, tunes, name tags, Live talk one-to-one and in group rooms, English and Español.

Adding Someone
A code, not a search.
Share your six-character code by text or WhatsApp, or read it out. There's no search and no public profile, so nobody can find you who you didn't invite. Remove or report anyone in two taps.
Private by Design
Built with less to protect, because less is collected.
- No phone numbers, no contacts access, no ads, no tracking, no analytics.
- Voice messages are deleted 24 hours after they're heard, or after 7 days unheard, unless you keep them.
- Live talk is never recorded.
- Voice filters are applied on your device; only the filtered audio is sent.
- Read it and Translate happen on your iPhone; the text is never sent or stored.
